UEM World has received notification from UEM Environment Sdn Bhd ("UEM Environment") on 2 July 2008 that UEM Environment had on 11 June 2008 acquired the entire issued and paid up capital of Special Builders Sdn Bhd comprising 2 ordinary shares of RM1.00 each fully paid up. The proposed objective of the company is general trading.
The acquisition has no effect on UEM World's share capital and its major shareholders' shareholdings and has no material effect on the net tangible assets and earnings per share of the UEM World Group for the financial year ending 31 December 2008.
None of the Directors and major shareholders and persons connected with them has any interest, direct or indirect, in the aforesaid acquisition.
